Sylvanus Benjamin Buckland was transported to WA and settled firstly in York. Several years after marrying Mary Wallace they moved to Jarrahdale where his descendants flourished. Many worked in the timber mill. His gravestone is still visible in the local cemetery. Buckland reunions are still held in Jarrahdale.
