JOE WINDRED & SIR HENRY PARKES & THEIR WINDSOR BATTLEGROUND
13 November 2013 ~ 10am
Author and historian Stephen Dando Collins wrote the incredible but true story about the mistaken identity of Joe Windred. He was convicted twice for crimes he did not commit, once in Windsor and the other in the USA. His latest book is a biography of Sir Henry Parkes, the legendary politician. Both men had connections to the Hawkesbury, come along to the meeting and find out more.
REMINDER - SHOW & TELL
The last meeting for 2013 will be held on Wednesday 11 December. The topic will be Show & Tell where members and friends are invited to bring along an item of interest. It might be an old photograph or a christening brooch or even a recommendation of a particular source. Over the years we have had some very interesting items. After the meeting join us for the end of year Christmas party. Please BYO plate of nibbles.
