INFORMATION

Memorial to Convict women 10 April 2008

A service commemorating ALL Convict women will be held at St John’s Cathedral, Church Street Parramatta on Thursday 10th April, 2008 2pm. ALL WELCOME. Bonnets made by women world-wide will be placed in a boat in St. John’s Cathedral in a service paying tribute to the lives of convict women and to highlight the economic and social contribution made by female convicts to the Nation. Thousands of convict women spent time in Parramatta. Owen & Margaret Cavanough Reunion - 29 March 2008

Descendants of Ebenezer church pioneers Owen & Margaret Cavanough - please note that a family re-union is planned for 29 March 2008 at Ebenezer Church, starting at 10am. Sunday 30th March picnic lunch at McQuade Park, Windsor. Associated families include : Beecroft, Bowd, Buttsworth, Curl, Everingham, Greentree, Mitchell, Paull, Salter, Simmons, Smallwood, Stubbs, Watkins and all those related to Owen Cavanough & Margaret nee Dowling. LOCK & GRAHAM REUNION

Lock and Graham Reunion will be held on Saturday 24th May 2008. Other names connected are Hodgetts & Maloney. GUMBLETON REUNION

Looking for members of the GUMBLETON family originally from Dorset England, later Camden, then moved to the Wagga Wagga district in NSW. A family reunion is planned for Saturday 20 September 2008 at Camden. Associated names are: Hook, Oxford, Neve, Ryan, Izzard, Waltover, Vesty, Rootes, White, Drake, Larkham, Phillips and Kelleher. THE ORIGINAL 6 – RHEINGAU TO CAMDEN PARK 1838 – 2008

JURD REUNION

Just want to advise that the JURD & Associated Families will be holding a REUNION on Sunday 28th September 2008 at Windsor, the 196th Wedding Anniversary of Daniel & Elizabeth. The reunion will be held at McQuade Park opposite St Matthew's Church of England, Moses Street Windsor NSW. As usual it is BYO. Gathering will be from 10.30am. Draft copies of the revised chapters our Book will be available for comment and we will launch the countdown to the 2012 Reunion to be held on 29th & 30th September 2012, commemorating 200th Wedding Anniversary of Daniel & Elizabeth. The 1st volume contained some 8600 descendant names. In just under 6 years we have added another 3000 names to the database as well as a wealth of information on the family including photos. Interested family members are invited and encouraged to come along to the reunion and especially to contact me before hand if they can assist with information on their branch of the tree.
