CHANGE OF MEETING TOPIC

Please note that there had to be a change of topic for today. Emily O'Reilly will now be presenting her talk "Preservation of family records" on Wednesday 8 December 2004. She had to change the date due to unforeseen work commitments.

DO YOU HAVE A RESEARCH PROBLEM?

At our meeting on the 8 September the topic will be "Solve your family history problems" We are inviting members & friends to let us know of some of the queries they have in regards to their family history research. It may be you have got to a certain point and are stuck. Perhaps there are some certain records you would like to use and are unsure what they contain. Can we help you? It can be simple or difficult (we will see what we can do. So bring along your queries or let me know by post, phone or email. The panel will include myself (MICHELLE NICHOLS), LESLEY UEBEL, JOHN JONES & JOHN NORRIS.

IRISH RESEARCH SEMINAR

The Society of Australian Genealogists is holding an Irish seminar called "Found in Ireland" on Saturday 24th & Sunday 25th July 2004 10.30am to 4.30pm. Good range of Topics with expert speakers. JURD CELEBRATIONS - 25TH JULY 2004 AT CENTRAL MACDONALD

Descendants of the Jurd family & all interested persons are invited a plaque will be unveiled to mark the centenary of the death of the 1st Australian born Jurd at 11am at St Jude's Cemetery, Central Macdonald. A reunion is to be held for the descendants of Joseph Wright (Scarborough 1788) & Ellen Gott (Neptune 1790) on the Sunday 28th November 2004 11am - 4pm at Maraylya Community Hall, Boundary Road, at Maraylya.
