INTRODUCTION TO FAMILY HISTORY CLASS

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Carolynne Cooper for her Australia Day Cultural Heritage Award. Well done.

Congratulations to Carol Liston awarded the Officer (AO) in the General Division in the Australia Day Awards 2017. She was recognised for her "distinguished service to the preservation and documentation of Australian history and heritage, to professional societies, and to education as a teacher and mentor."

DR REX STUBBS OAM COMMEMORATIVE HISTORY SYMPOSIUM

HAWKESBURY CRIER

The March issue of the Hawkesbury Crier will be available next month. If you would like to contribute an article, publish a query or advertise your family names, please email history@hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au before 1 March 2017.

ROOTSTECH 2017

RootsTech is a huge family history event held in Salt Lake City where people may learn, discover and share their family history through technology. Lots of new things are released or announced at this event and there is lots to learn, even if you are unable to attend. Like last year, several sessions of the conference will be streamed live on the website https://www.rootstech.org/

The Library has free access to the internet, contact 4560 4460 for bookings at Windsor & 4578 2002 for Richmond bookings. If you have your own laptop we also have free wireless. The password is available from the Information Desk.
