Biographies

James Cox was born in Raunds, Northamptonshire, England,baptised in 1808 and was convicted after being found guilty of stealing a lamb in 1836. He was married to Mary Nunley and had two children Sarah and Thomas Cox, both born in Raunds, Northamptonshire. His wife and children remained in England, and according to census records in England, he never returned or was united with his family after that time.
