Biographies

William Paynton (born1809) son of John and Mary. Husband to Jemima née Sturch in Deddington, Oxfordshire, England who he had 6 or 7 children.
He reportedly stole 2 trusses of hay off John Stilgoe, Deddington, was sentenced to 7 years via transportation (Henry Porcher convict Ship) to Australia. This was reported in Jackson Oxford journal March 5th 1936. Records show he was released in Australia in 1843, later married Emily née Prosser and went on the have another 4 children. He died in 1871 apparently in Victoria, Australia.
