Claimed convict

Biographies

A native of Ireland, BRIDGET HOGAN had arrived in Port Jackson in 1837. She was tried at the Central Criminal Court (London) in 1836 and received a 7-year sentence. Her crimes were stealing clothing items such as a bonnet and shawl and pawning the items.
In 1837,THOMAS WEBB aged 40, applied to marry Bridget who was aged 25 and was a convict under sentence.
Bridget died in 1880 in Sydney.
