Biographies

John Saker was a bricklayer who was sent immediately upon arrival in Hobart to the Aboriginal Settlement at Wybalenna on Flinders Island in Bass Strait. He died there on 9th January 1838 and was buried there the next day. He came from Bletchingley in Surrey and was sentenced to Transportation for Life in the Surrey Court. .
