Tried Wakefield Sessions 17 Jan 1828 for stealing twenty yards of canvas wrapper, convicted & sentenced to 7 years transportation as noted West Riding Quarter Sessions Indictment Book.

George arrived in Sydney aboard Eliza 18 Nov 1828, Indent shows he was a farm boy in Halifax &shows he previously served 2 years imprisonment. Certificate of Freedom 36/0210 was granted 11 April 1836.

George married Mary McCormick on 28 oct 1837 at St Peter Church Campbelltown by banns with the consent of the Governor. At that time his occupation was noted as "farmer"

George died of "senile decay" on 20 Aug 1895 at home Talbrager Street Dubbo NSW and was buried 22 Aug 1895 C of E Cemetery Dubbo NSW
