Crime: Stealing from the person. 25/- from Samuel Freeman.
Trial place: Northampton Assizes.
Convicted: 19 July 1830 Northampton England.
Sentence: Death. Commuted to life. Transported.
Prior conviction: Having a chance child.
Sentence for previous conviction: Seven months.
Departed England: 3 December 1830 NOT 6 January 1831. See below for details.
Arrived in Van Diemen's Land: 9 May 1831.
Convict Ship: Departed on the Earl of Liverpool arrived on the AMERICA. Not unusual for convicts to transfer to another ship en route.
Native place: Wootton Northamptonshire England.
Occupation: Housemaid. Cook. Later an assigned nurse on Flinders Island.
Married: 1) Possibly John Brown in England.
2) Lawrence Kavanagh on Flinders Island.
3) Luke Provis, not REVIS at Sorell, Tasmania. Luke's surname incorrectly written on the marriage register. Luke also a convict.
Children: Stated Four. Three in England. Daughter Elizabeth Brown came to Van Dieman's Land with her.
Eleanor died: 25 July 1859 at Sorell Tasmania.
