John was convicted in Sydney on 11 Jul 1845 of assault beat & murder Mary Anne Clarke on 31 May 1845 and sentenced to death.

John was born about 1805 Cork Ireland and convicted at Waterford Ireland in 1838 of "steal muslin" and sentenced to 7 years transportation
