Henry was born about 1815 Fifeshire Scotland and convicted Wexford Ireland in 1836 of "receive stolen goods" and sentenced to 7 years transportation.

Henry arrived Sydney aged 21 aboard Captain Cook on 13 November 1836 with Indent showing alias "Atkins" and trade soldier and farm servant.

Henry gained his Certificate of Freedom 43/0523 dated 4 April 1843.
