Thomas was convicted of housebreaking at Berkshire Assizes and sentenced to life transportation, he arrived NSW aboard Marquis Hastings 1828 with his indent showing his trade as “blacksmith”

Thomas applied to marry Henrietta Owen ( Henry Wellesley 1836) , approved at Sutton Forest 5 Sept 1837: they married one week later at All Saints Church Camden NSW
