George was convicted at Kent Quarter Sessions on 14 July 1828 and sentenced to 14 years transportation, he arrived Sydney aboard Mellish on 18 April 1829

George was convicted October 1841 of murder his wife Sarah Stroud nee Martin on 13 September 1841 and sentenced to death.
