William was convicted at Brighton Court Martial on 17 April 1812 and sentenced to life transportation, he arrived Sydney aboard Fortune on 11 June 1813.

William was convicted on 6 February 1816 of highway robbery William Wright at Parramatta on 15 December 1815 and sentenced to death.
