Biographies

Catherine arrived on Alexander 1 in Sydney with Mary Marney (my Grandmother) and Sarah Sullivan. All three were charged with stealing material from a shop, tried together at the Old Baily London, sentence 7 years. Catherine married John Cruise in Sydney (no date as yet), a Convict, ship Calcutta. Children Edward, John, Elizabeth, Esther, Mary Anne. All were placed in Paramatta Orphan School 1824 and 1829. John was deceased. I do not know where Catherine ended up as there are several different death dates although on Mary Ann's entry in 1829 it states both parents deceased. I have found several of the children's marriage dates.
