Edward was born about 1808 Galway Ireland and was convicted of desertion at Belem Portugal in 1826 and sentenced to 14 years transportation

Edward arrived Sydney aged 20 aboard Royal George on 24 December 1828 with Indent showing trade "soldier ploughman".

Edward was murdered by Thomas Reilly (Guildford 1829) on 24 May 1833 at Norfolk Island.
