Edward was heavily tattooed. Edward was given 50 lashes for insolence and disobedience July 30 1830 and given 25 lashes for March 31 1835 for insolence.

Edward was 5' 6" with dark brown hair. He had bushy eyebrows that met in the centre and were darker than his hair colour.He had a scar on his right cheek and was pockmarked on his left cheek.
