Biographies

Charles appears to have had a troubled time in the colony after conviction in the Suffolk, Liberty of Bury St Edmunds Assizes for a term of life on 21 March 1828. He was placed around Patrick Plains and Wollombi around 1840 but absconded, took to bushranging, and was then sent to Van Dieman's Land from 1843 until at least 1853.
