William was born about 1808 Mitcham Surrey and was convicted with his brother James at Surrey Assizes on 28 March 1816 and sentenced to 7 years transportation

William and his brother James Eales were convicted in Jan 1826 of sheep stealing and robberies Thomas Bell and Richard Hoilam and sentenced to death.
