Michael was born about 1801 Roscommon County Ireland and was convicted at Roscommon in 1818 and sentenced to life transportation

Michael arrived Sydney aged 17 aboard Martha on 24 December 1818 with his Indent showing alias "Reid" and trade "labourer".

Michael and John Morris (Guildford 1818) were convicted on 25 Jun1819 of murder Joseph Marson on 31 May 1819 at Newcastle and sentenced to death.
