William was born about 1798 Middlesex and was convicted at Middlesex Special Sessions of Peace on 28 June 1820 and entrenched to 7 years transportation

William arrived Sydney aged about 23 aboard Prince of Orange on 12 February 1821 with his Indent showing trade "carter". He gained Certificate of Freedom 27/0572 dated 28 June 1827

William Bowen &'Peter Reilly (Countess Harcourt) were convicted on 6 April 1829 of steal from a dwelling place at Patrick Plains and occupants in fear on 19 November 1828 and sentenced to death.
