Biographies

John CATON; was born about 1806 and his convict records state that he was a native of London.
In 1827, John was convicted of theft. John was originally sentenced to death but sentence was changed to Transportation to New South Wales.
John set sailed on 15 September 1827 aboard the "Florentia" and arrived 110 days later at Port Jackson (3 January 1828).
In 1845 John marries Martha Wood. Martha was born in Scotland and migrated to New South Wales with her family in 1838.
John Caton died in April 1860.
