Biographies

From 1833 to 1856 when he claims to have married Mary Jane McCarthy at Broughton Creek on the south coast, but no record of the marriage has been found. His age changes with the birth of each of his ten children and , in fact, goes down instead of up for quite a few years!! making determination of his actual birth year difficult. His surname is also spelled in many different ways, depending, no doubt, on the clerk who was writing it at the time..

He led a colourful life, doesn't appear to have married but had 10 children to Mary Jane McCarthy. He died in 1880
