William arrived Sydney aged 34 aboard Morley on 3 Mar 1828 with his Indent showing alias "Boles" and trade farmer & married with four children; Name William Finias Bowles" is evidenced later records

William was convicted on 12 February 1835 of the stabbing murder of his wife Sarah Bowles on 6 December 1834 and sentenced to death.
