David was born about 1792 Limerick Ireland and was convicted at Norfolk Quarter Sessions England in 1817 and sentenced to 7 years transportation

David arrived Sydney aged 26 aboard Isabella on 14 September 1818 with his Indent showing alias "Browne" and trade "seaman".

David with Timothy Buckley and Timothy Ford were convicted on 7 April 1819 of murdering William Cosgrove (district constable) on 1 April 1819 at South Creek NSW and sentenced to death.
