Biographies
Thomas Quinn (Minerva 1819) & John Lynch (Dorothy 1820) & Edward McGuinness (Tyne 1819) & William Webb (Mangles 1820) & Patrick Geary (Guildford 1816) were among other convicts aboard Wellington on 10 December 1826 when a group of convicts seized control of the ship on way to Norfolk Island.
Recaptured they were placed on Prison Hulk "Phoenix" while awaiting transfer to Norfolk Island.
They escaped as a group from "Phoenix" in February 1827.

Thomas arrived Sydney aged 17 aboard Minerva on 18 December 1819 with his Indent showing alias "Quinn" and trade "schoolboy".

Thomas, Patrick Geary (Guildford) & John Lynch (Dorothy) were convicted on 1 June 1827 of robberies on homes of Timothy Beard (publican) and Thomas Parnell (publican) and sentenced to death.
