Richard was born about 1802 Leicestershire. And was convicted at Leicester Asdizes on 30 July 1825 and sentenced to life transportation

Richard with Michael Browne, Andrew Cullen & Patrick Corcoran were convicted on 18 Aug 1829 at Maitland of bushranging homes of William Forsyth & A B Sparke & putting residents in fear.
