William was born about 1798 and was convicted at Kent Assizes on 4 August 1817 and sentenced to 14 years transportation, he arrived Sydney aged about 20 aboard Batavia on 5 April 1818.

William was convicted on 10 August 1821 of the murder of Maria Minton on 17 March 1821 in Evan District and sentenced to death.
