John was born about 1794 Stafford and was tried convicted at Stafford Assizes on 23 July 1818 and sentenced to life transportation

John together with Richard Peacock & William Pitts were convicted on 29 June 1929 of highway robbery on Benjamin Crew near Bargo NSW on 10 May 1829 and sentenced to death.
