Biographies

Moses was 16 yrs old when convicted of housebreaking and stealing bread and money and sentenced to transportation to Van Diemans Land for 7 years. He had a prior conviction for stealing a jacket for which he was sent to prison for 14 days and whipped. He was transferred to Parkhust Prison on 17 Jan 1848. He was one of the "Parkhust Boys".
Moses lived around the Evandale area in Tasmania, married Marion Freeborough and raised a family. He died 1914 aged 83 years at his son in laws place in Somerset.
