John White & William Mooney (Mangles) were convicted at Supreme Court on 4 November 1831 of the axe murder of Maurice Roache (Guildford 1816) at Goulburn Plains on 22 September 1831.

John White and Wiiliam Mooney were sentenced to death and to be Gibbeted ( hung in chains). Both were hanged on 16 November 1831 at Goulburn NSW.
