Francis was tried and convicted at Cork Ireland in 1825 of "house breaking" and sentenced to 7 years transportation

Francis arrived Sydney aged 20 aboard Mangles on 18 February 1826 with his Indent showing two former convictions and trade "labourer".

Francis & John Doyle (detail unknown) were convicted of robbery ( sheep, horse, cattle stealing) of Robert Smith on 19 May 1834 at Bathurst NSW and sentenced to death.
