William was tried and convicted at Kilkenny City Ireland in 1820 and sentenced to 7 years transportation

William arrived Sydney aged 40 aboard Prince Regent on 9 January 1821 with his Indent showing trade "farmer"

William was convicted on 21 October of robbery and horse stealing and sentenced to death which was later commuted to life.

William absconded and when apprehended his original sentence was applied and he was hanged on 22 May 1823 in Sydney.
