Biographies

James Dodson was born around 1823/24 in St George East, Stepney, Middlesex, UK. He was tried at the Old Bailey on 13 May 1839 accused with stealing 15 yards of carpet from Thomas Beckensale King on 15 April 1839 from his shop in Clerkenwell. (Source - Old Bailey Proceedings Id: t18390513-1513).
He married Mary Ann Normoyle in 1850. He was a free man but she was still a convict.
He is my great, great Grandfather.
