Biographies
Alexander Telford (Warrior 1831), James Davis (Waterloo 1838) & Archibald Taylor (Lady Nugent 1835) were bushrangers terrorising people in the Maitland area till their activies reached a point. When Davis shot and murdered John Maher, a dray driver on 19 July 1839.
All three faced trial on 7 November 1839 for bush ranging also Davis with murder and Telford, Taylor with being accessories to murder.
All three were convicted sentenced to death and hanged on 29 November 1839 in Sydney NSW.

Alexander arrived Sydney aged about 28 aboard Warrior on 20 November 1831 with. His Indent showing previous convictions of 1 year imprisonment and trade "weaver soldier"
