| John Day was a convict who arrived at Port Jackson aboard the ship " Baring " on the 7th September 1815. The ship had sailed fromPlymouth in England on the 20th April 1815, a voyage of 140 days. Submitted by Researcher (Lionel Smith) on 25 March 2014

| He had been tried and convicted of petty larceny, at Stafford Quarter Sessions on the 13th January 1813, and sentenced to 7 years transportation to the Colonies. The shipping indent papers give the Submitted by Researcher (Lionel Smith) on 25 March 2014
