Crime: Receiving stolen good. Received a quantity of cloth from Charles Dunning and John Roberts.
Trial place: West Riding, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.
Convicted: 16 February 1833.
Sentence: 14 years. Transported.
Prior conviction: Larceny. In 1831 he stole four yards of black cloth from Mr. Major Hirst of George Street in Leeds.
Sentence for previous conviction: One month in prison.
Departed Plymouth, England: 14 October 1832.
Arrived in Van Diemen's Land: 15 February 1833.
Convict Ship: Circassian.
Native place: Queen's County in Ireland that later became known a Laois.
Occupation: Soldier - 4th Dragoon Guards, Master Tailor.
Born: Unknown at this stage. Currently researching records using name variations in different repositories as nothing concrete has been found so far. This also applies to his military record, there are others with the same name (variations) but all the records are not for this Lawrence.
Widower: As stated on conduct record. Wife details unknown.
Children: One, details unknown both wife and child in either England or Ireland.
Married: Eleanor Brown, a convict when they were both assigned to Flinders Island under the control of George Augustus Robinson.
Died: 9 April 1842 in Hobart.
