Biographies

John a labourer of Suffolk was actually convicted to death at the Essex Assizes on 2nd August 1824. He was listed as being 5 feet 8 inches tall with dark complexion, hazel eyes and dark brown hair. He had a tattoo of a man and woman on his left arm and an anchor on his right. He also had a scar on his left breast. John arrived on board the Norfolk in 1825. He received 3 ticket of leaves for the Yass district then a conditional pardon 43/139 on 01 April 1842.
After gaining permission John married Mrs Sarah Davies a widow I presume, in the police office at Goulburn, Victoria. They had a daughter Jane at Mill Bank in New South Wales.
