Simon was tried and convicted of “steal horse” on 25 Mar 1826 in Dandalk Louth County Ireland and sentenced to life transportation

Simon arrived Sydney aboard Phoenix during 1826 with his Indent showing him as farmer with and unnamed wife and child.
