Simon was tried and convicted of “steal horse” on 25 Mar 1826 in Dandalk Louth County Ireland and sentenced to life transportation

Simon arrived Sydney aboard Phoenix during 1826 with his Indent showing him as farmer with and unnamed wife and child. Neither of their names have been subsequently identified.

Simon made application to marry Mary McCormick (Southworth 1831) dated 20 April 1837; comment upon application shows him delivering mail Campbelltown to Molong. Application was declined by Governor
