William Carr (along with his brother Daniel (my grt grt grandfather)was sentenced to 7 yrs for stealing barley. TOL 42/2163 issued 1842 in district of Broulee. REF: SRNSW 4/4166 Reel No: 945

William came from Potterspury, Northhamptonshire/Buckinghamshire, UK and was an older brother of my paternal grt, grt grandfather Daniel. Both sent out to Australia for stealing grain.

William got his ticket of leave 1842 & was allowed to remain in the District of Broulee which is down the south coast of NSW. Source: TOL
