Biographies

I believe that Francis Carberry was married to Catherine Malone in 1790 in Dunboyne, Co Meath, Ireland.
Francis was arrested and sentenced to death for stealing a bridle and saddle. The sad thing was that he did own similiar items but was drunk on the night in question and did not form a defence believing himself to be innocent. His sentence was commuted to life and deportation. One of his sons Nicholas, was my great, great grandfather. I am still trying from Ireland to nail down the connection to Catherine. A Francis Carberry is listed as the Father of Nicholas in 1805. There is no record of him in Ireland after this.
