Biographies
John together with Timothy Hogan (Rolla 1803) & William Johnson (Rolla 1803) & George Harrington (Glatton 1803) & Samuel Humes (Hercules 1802) & Charles Hill (settler) & John Place (Glatton 1803) & Philip Cunningham (_Anne 1801) & John Neill ( Atlas 1802) were considered the leaders of the Castle Hill Rebellion of March 1804 in which we'll over 200 convicts and others rebelled against Colonial Authority of the time.
In response Governor King imposed Martial Law on 5 March 1804 revoked 12 March 1804.
