Biographies

Born on 12 October 1782 in Devon, England.
He married Jane Hobling on 2 February 1805 at Wesleyan Church Stoke Damerel, Plymouth, England. They had three children Matilda, John and Emma.
On 18 March 1816, at the age of 33 he was charged with stealing naval stores and sentenced to 14 years transportation.
He arrived in Sydney aboard the convict vessel "Fame" in March 1817. His family arrived the same year aboard the "Duke of Wellington".
They are known to be living in Richmond in 1841 where he died at the age of 69 on 2 February, 1852
